east coast meanderings: part one

we put some serious mileage on our car last week as we trekked all the way up to Massachusetts to visit the brothers. wes and celynne have an awesome place on Martha's Vineyard and matty was there too. we had s'mores, sparklers, played at the beach, etc. here were some of the highlights:

1. eli's new best friend, mac... every morning eli woke up he asked "where's a mac?" it's amazing because he is usually TERRIFIED of dogs.

2. boat rides- wes and celynne had a little whaler that we took on a harbor tour and to a semi-private beach. eli fell asleep every time (he also fell asleep during the fireworks).

3. the uncles- eli doesn't get a lot of quality time with his uncles, so this was a real treat. he started calling wes "wessy" which is the name wesley wanted to avoid.


4. the feast- celynne has a friend who is a lobsterman so we got hooked up for our 4th of july celebration. sorry you all couldn't be there... that's right, we each got our own lobster AND crab.
