eli and i were reading the Friend magazine today (a magazine for kids done by our church). there is a story about a dad who lost his job and had to ask for help from his home teacher (someone from church assigned to help your family) who gave him advice and references for finding work. this is what i heard later when we were playing and I told him he was such a nice, big boy.
"Yeah, because I have to grow big like a Dad so I can work at my work job so I can lose my job"
and later at bedtime as I was tucking him in...
"An' I can jus' grow big like a Dad and lose my job ok?"
apparently my son has learned that being a Dad means losing your job. let's hope that doesn't happen...

ha! sometimes being a grown up does mean losing your job, unfortunately. but luckily, we have awesome home teachers to help us out. :)
