(and that was after cleaning it out) we finally tackled it, emptied it out, painted it, threw down some new carpet and now i have a place to store my children with their favorite toys so i can watch them behind the closed sliding glass door that muffles all the shrieks of delight. finally.
that is jamey's painting get up, yep- that's a plastic bag on his head. it was also a balmy million degrees if i remember correctly.
then i saw one of the meanest spiders i had ever seen. then jamey told me it was a black widow. then i panicked and he killed it with a box cutter. obviously there were no remains to photograph.

That looks so great! I'd LOVE to have a porch like that.
Congrats!!!!!
I've always wanted a porch like that. Attached to our house, preferably, but hey, I'm not picky. You guys are super-human to be able to tackle two active little boys AND a big ol' fixer upper like that, all at once! I'm in awe of your superior skills!
Wow, that looks awesome. I like the broom, it gives it just the right touch. :)
Yay! I found your blog. How exciting to be doing home renovations! The boys are so cute, glad you are doing well.
jamie: i sent an email to your hotmail account, i don't know if you still check it. if not, call me (909) 331 2348--maybe about doing a super small industrial design project, if you are still in that field? deuces, karl.
hooray! beautiful porch, I do remember being a bit nervous passing through there. we'll have to head back down for another summer visit to enjoy it!
