helping hands

we decided to stop putting up with the ensuing ridiculousness in our storage/laundry room and get us some storage shelves. so on saturday we took a little family outing to home depot to make our purchase. eli was ever so helpful pushing the cart, hiding his cars on the shelves and restocking items. by restocking items i am referring to the removal of no less than 60 rolls of drawer liners from their display and storing them behind a large box they had no business being behind. this is the process:

and here is the finished project. and no, eli didn't help with this part- he was so worn out from working at the store that he slept for 2 hours. we don't have a before shot, but you can just trust us that it was a mess.

What a gem. Another one for AFV. Everyone knows that Home Depot and stores of its ilk are just playland for kids!

I'm surprised we didn't hear the voice on the intercom call out, "Cute Kid on Aisle 17". At least he put everything back, right?

What a nice little helper...hey I remember that room! I left my blue shirt in there I think. Did you ever find that by the way?

he's like a little squirrel stocking up for the winter. or for the great shelf-liner depression that is apparently coming upon us soon... he must know something we don't. i especially love that each time he put one down into his hoarded mass he dusted off his hands. that's some hard work! and if noah would have done that, there would have been no neat pile but shelf liners scattered all around the store, none of which would have been nicely put back. what a good little busy boy!

That video made me laugh out loud. My favorite part is when you pull the box back and there are a MILLION rolls back there. What patience you have.
