groovin'

so we saw this link on another blog and curiosity got the best of me. you're supposed to determine your theme song by whichever song was #1 on the billboard charts the day you were born. amazing.

mine: "Escape (The Pina Colada song)" by Rupert Holmes- and I do like pina colada. also, please note that this brit was doing the double collared shirt forever ago. he was clearly ahead of his time.

big j: "9 to 5" by Dolly Parton-- which is perfect because he LOVES working 9 to 5 and who doesn't love Dolly?

eli: "Sexy Back" by Justin Timberlake... no words.

it's kind of depressing that all the amazing classics are being replaced by this stuff. i mean how do you compare something like "don't worry, be happy" or "my sharona" to "my boo" or "gold digger"? does this mean i'm getting old and when eli looks at this later he'll be psyched to be born on the day "sexy back" was #1?

nice. i saw this on sue's blog too and mine is a kenny rogers/dolly parton duet, kenny's is a blondie song. at least eli's is JT and not maroon 5 like noah's. *unfortunate sigh* i also looked up the day that we got married and it was "crazy in love" by beyonce and jay-z. how appropriate...

Yo, yo...going back to 1956 for the gparents...it was good old Elvis with Hound Dog...how cool is that!

Yes, Becca, it does mean that you're getting older when you get worried about modern music.

our anniversary song was actually "gold digger" by kayne west and jamie foxx so i definitely like yours better.

I'm not sure what my "theme song" is supposed to mean but "Step by Step" by New Kids on the Block is certainly something to be proud of.

Pretty funny. Mitchell's song also happens to be by Justin Timberlake, he must have had a good couple of years. Mine is 'Lady' by Kenny Rogers. Appropriate, no?

Hey, I just realized that we missed Eli's second birthday! I hope there are going to be pictures of the event soon; it isn't everyday a great grandkid turns 2. Give him a mushy kiss for us both.

Kiff: Endless Love (hahaha!)
Me: Rock with You

Macy's was some rap song by Akon and Snoop dog. I heard a dirty word (that I cannot repeat) when I tried to listen to it. That's too bad. It made "Sexy Back" seem like a primary song.

your super talented nephew MADE it himself. one of the perks of having a designer in the family.
