The Travels of the Kearls, the First Volume

Over the last year, our family has been 'in transition' so to speak- we left Greensboro in August and headed across the country to Utah, then to Idaho, and we've kind of been back and forth between those two ever since.  I'm working in Idaho, and the Lawler fam is all in Utah so we are carpe-ing the diem while we're so close, and not across the world in China.

Our first act as nomads was to head up to Martha's Vineyard for a Lawler family get together.

Becca's brother Wes lived and worked there at a shipyard (now he's got his captain's license), and hooked us up with a boat for part of the trip. We went out to this little island on an inlet and set up camp for our day at the beach,
and then commenced with the wakeboarding.  Becca wasn't sure she would be able hack it on the wakeboard, as she does not frequent the lake, but she got up on her first try like a pro.
Wes kind of schooled the rest of us though, with sweet 360 moves and such.
Oh, and there was also some tubing.
Little ones came out on the boat to watch the wakeboarders,

and then spent the rest of the day hanging out on the beach, kayaking with grandma,
finding shells,
being tortured by uncle Dano, and forced to touch the water,
and just generally enjoying life.

And thus concluded our one day at the beach all summer.  Many more adventure were had, which will be posted when I finally get around to doing so.

this is very confusing for me. Is this from your trip last year, or did you go out there this summer? love the pictures, by the way!
